CODE OF CONDUCT

Purpose

The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to promote sportsmanship, respect, and a positive

environment for all participants on MDK Lions and MDK Training Basketball Development. Participation in AAU basketball is a privilege, and all players, parents/guardians, coaches, and spectators are expected to uphold the standards outlined below.


PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

All players participating in MDK Lions and MDK Training Basketball Development are expected to:

1. Show respect toward teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and spectators at all

times.

2. Display good sportsmanship, win or lose.

3. Follow all AAU rules, team rules, and tournament guidelines.

4. Refrain from the use of profanity, taunting, trash talking, or unsportsmanlike gestures.

5. Avoid fighting, physical altercations, or threatening behavior.

6. Listen to and respect coaching instruction during games and practices.

7. Give full effort, maintain a positive attitude, and represent the team with class on and off

the court.

8. Be punctual and prepared for all practices, games, and team events.

9. Respect facilities, equipment, and property.


PARENT / GUARDIAN CODE OF CONDUCT

Parents and guardians are expected to:

1. Encourage good sportsmanship and positive behavior from all players.

2. Refrain from coaching from the sidelines during games or practices.

3. Show respect to officials, opposing teams, coaches, and tournament staff.

4. Avoid arguing with referees, coaches, or other spectators.

5. Address concerns or disagreements with coaches privately and respectfully.

6. Support the development, enjoyment, and well-being of all athletes.



COACH CODE OF CONDUCT

Coaches and staff are expected to:

1. Place the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of athletes above winning.

2. Teach and model good sportsmanship and respect for the game.

3. Treat players, parents, officials, and opposing teams with professionalism.

4. Follow all AAU rules and athlete protection policies.

5. Promote a safe and positive team environment.
